so I'm leaving Malaysia for good, I've spent 4 years to pursue my studies there, and now I've graduated and become a bachelor (of art) :p with a quite satisfying result as well. It's been a long journey and I'm sure I'll be missing every bits during my studies in Malaysia. Mostly the people around me, oh i miss them already. It's funny when you are used to your daily routines then you suddenly stop doing it, you feel like some part of you are missing (super emo! ahahaha).

well anyway, I'm going back to Malaysia soon for one last time (as a student) to pick up my stuff, checking out from my condo, and several other matters that i need to attend to, then I'm leaving for good. thanks for the memories malaysia

so sparks are participating in young designer's week bazaar held by cosmod living were actually selling t-shirt but unfortunately (I'm not going to lie to u) the tee quality and fitting size didn't come out like we expected to be, we've been fooled!

BUT we are still there promoting our exhibition, so you could still come and visit us and maybe get ur picture taken and we'll send it to you via email. there are off course other stuff to see like dresses, toys, accessories, furniture, and so on.

hello people, my friends and i are now preparing our final final final exhibition. The exhibition will be held around June if I'm not mistaken. The name of the exhibition is 'SPARKS', I'm goin to give you the link of the site when it's finished.

So we went to this art festival called 'MAP'. we went there to seek inspiration, but i don't think we find that much inspiration, except for the girl with the red hair :p . anywayss, my friends back home have successfully 'poisoned' me with finger board!.
for those of you who doesn't kno, finger board is a small size skateboard that u play with ur fingers.

maybe u think this is silly, but it's actually fun ahahahaha..
trust me it's not as easy as u think, it took me a long time just to learn how to ollie (and i'm still not doing it the right way) but after u learn that, i guess it's going to be easier. i'm not a skater, i have friends who skate but not me, i don't think i can ahaahaha dat's why i play fingerboard instead. i still dunno many tricks, rite now i only can do an ollie, shuv it, and a bit of low 360 flip and kickflip...

saya yakin temen2 yg dari balikpapan pernah (ato malah sering, ampe bosen) ngejawab pertanyaan2 seperti "di balikpapan ada gedung ga?" atau "di kalimantan ada listrik ga?" atau "di balikpapan ada mall ga?" atau pertanyaan2 lainnya yang isinya seakan2 membuat orang2 kalimantan, khususnya balikpapan berasal dari jaman apocalypto dimana masyarakatnya hidup nomaden dan berburu atau bercocok tanam merupakah kegiatan sehari2nya. sakit hati rasanya.

pertanyaan saya, kalo kita makan orang terus kenapa?! ahahahahahaha
ga lah kita ga makan orang... GILA APA?!

kenapa juga di jaman kaya gini masih ada orang2 yg mikir kaya gtu. mungkin ga cuma balikpapan(kalimantan) aja kasusnya, mungkin daerah disana sana juga di pikir begitu.

Kmaren smpet ngebongkar isi lemari meja blajar dan dengan suksesnya membuat kamar terlihat lebih "rapi", dan lihat apa yang aku temukan! cicak kering! bukan itu sih maksudnya, tp itu jg ada. Tapi sbnrnya yang aku temukan adalah sebuah album berisi perangko2 yang dulu suka saya jilat waktu jaman sd/smp. Emang sepertinya pada saat itu hobi filateli lagi heboh2nya.

Filateli adalah hobi mengumpulkan perangko dan benda2 pos lainnya seperti sampul hari pertama. kalo dulu tertarik soalnya taunya kalo smakin lama prangkonya smakin tinggi nilainya (sprtinya aku dulu mata duitan), sekarang mah saya ga tau orang2 masih peduli ga ama hobi yang satu ini.

setelah dilihat, diraba, dan di terawang, saya rasa perangko itu nilai seni dan designnya cukup tinggi. Baguslah pokoknya. Ternyata dulu saya smpet punya lumayan banyak juga koleksinya. Termasuk perangko2 yang masih satu set, masih dalam plastik, masih belum ada cap posnya, masih dalam bentuk aslinya, dan belum terjilat!. nih saya kasi liat... sapa tau ada yg tertarik untuk beli :p

Looking at design inspirations websites like kitsune noir or change the thought made me realize i can't do most of the things there ahahaha. It's alright, my friend freyke once said "if you think you are not good enough, think that you are capable" and i know i am capable! i have my own thing goin, whatever dat is :p

during my studies i learn a lot. develop my sense of what's good and what's not (you guys shuld see my newsletter design in foundation, it's total craaapp! mwhahaha). havin great friends and tutors. making things that i think i couldn't possibly do before. I really enjoy being a graphic design/ multimedia student, really.

but what really worries me is, rite now I'm a final semester student, which means "you better find a good job after this or you will waste your four years of education abroad" ahahaha. I'm not like the super talented reza batak, or the smart randy raharja, the great ody samuel , even mr photographer willy wijaya. I am capable, sure! but what will i do good after i graduated? will i get a job? will i survive? a fresh graduate "designer" with no experience of the real world. scary if u ask me...
my responsibility after this is much more heavy...

hanging out with old friends from junior high, what a great afternoon!
berawal dari makan sore di solaria bsb, ya lets face it balikpapan emang ga punya tmpat banyak buat nongkrong, palingan pergi ke tmpat makan. sempet kaget ngeliat ada ibu2 hamil pake baju "daft bear"nya the fidele, seneng deh liatnya. Tadinya setelah itu bakal mau ke mol satunya lagi biar g4ul getoh (ahahahah sampah), tapi setelah d pikir2 mendingan kita cari tmpat buat foto2 aja.

langit balikpapan akhir2 ini lagi kumat bagusnya. yang aku maksud dari itu adalah BENER BENER BAGHOOSS!.. ini nih saat2 yang d cari fotografer landscape khususnya untuk sempetin hunting. emang udah jadi ciri khasnya fotografer bpp sih, kaya bang hilman fajar.

jadi aku, irene, adam, dan arya pergi ke helipad pertamina. Sebenernya tmpat ini restricted sih, tapi mungkin securitynya udah cape ngusir orang2 yang selalu pergi kesana ahaha, mau gimana lagi, emang tmpatnya asik buat foto ahaha.

menunya ga terlalu banyak cuma seperangkat bakso dan bakwan di bayar tunai, ada juga kue cake yang dari sorenya udah manggil2 "eat me! eat me!". Tanpa pikir panjang kita semua langsung santap (dengan rakusnya) makanan2 yg udah tersedia di meja... meja makan, bukan meja hijau. setelah makan (dengan rakusnya) kita smua kembali ke acara masing2, aku sendiri sih uda males pergi keluar... soalnya pasti di luar sudah banjir... banjir manusia...

menuju tengah malem kita pada ngumpul di kamar ortu soalnya dari situ viewnya balikpapan keliatan cukup jelas, cuma ketutup beberapa pohon doang tapi keliatan jelas dan gelap, ya karena malam jadi gelap. tapi viewnya cukup bagus ko, rasanya balikpapan ga segelap yg lalu2. itu di bawah ada juga orang yang uda mulai petas petos petas petos (itu suara kembang api meledak ceritanya), yang kemudian di ikuti oleh satu Balikpapan!. Enaknya punya rumah d atas gunung ini nih, kita bisa liat kembang api saling balas2an dari ujung ampe ujung, asik lah pokoknya. ga sempet potok tapi sayangya huahuahua...

itu kembang api sahut2an cukup lama, 1/2 jam mungkin, lama lah pokoknya. abis itu kita pada balik ke kamar masing2, mau tidur kayanya.

itu si kucing tidur enak banget, ampe muter2...

after almost 4 years in malaysia, finally i went to genting ahahahahaha
too lazy to write anything, just some photo to share, not that many but enough. It was a very foggy day, and it was raining at first. i had a great time thanks to harry, jin, and sita. Not to mention the breathtaking view we saw on our way back. freedom feels super good!

Melaka : 04/12/09
what do u do if u have nothing to do? sleep? well dat was my plan before Willy, Gideon and Randy ask me to join them for a random trip to melaka. Hellooooo melaka! we meet again...

so we were actually planning to go at 2... in the morning.. ahahahaha but the power of mr sandman is too strong so we finally go around 4am . it was a 2 hours drive anyway, going at 2 means "what the hell are we going to do after we reach there".

So, yea we reach melaka around 7 we had our breakfast at KFC, everyone is having breakfast but Gideon is having dinner instead. dasar SAPI....

Melaka is located in the southern region of the Malay penisular. It is a historical city, so there are many museums and other history related places, which means that it will be a very boring day for Gideon ahahahaa.

1. Jonker street in the early morning
Jonker street is like china town. It's famous for it's antique goods and it will be very crowded every weekend nights. it's a must to go here if u visit Melaka. most of the shops are still close off course coz we came too early. but we did stop to buy some onde2 ahaha. it's not onde2 actually it's klepon.

2. St paul's church
St paul's church is a burial ground for the dutch for their noble dead. It is located behind the museum. We were lucky coz there aren't so many people so we could take pictures freely akakaka.

3. The Museum
ok, this is what i mean by "a very boring day for Gideon" ahahaha

willy : stares at a painting and felt the emotion
Randy : stares at a painting and study the process of making it
Sita : stares at a painting and see how beautiful it was
Suma : stares at a painting and try to understand what it was (at least I've tried)
Gideon : stares at a painting anddd (krikk... krikk... krikkk.... krik...)

4. Dataran merdeka Mall
I don't exactly remember what's the name of this mall. But since we are mall generation people so we went there! ahaha. There's not much to see actually, we stop to eat (again) this explain why i gain 2 kg during holidays, man i gotta stop eating!

5. chicken rice ball
dat explains everything... LUNCH! didn't take any picture tho...

6. jonker street in the afternoon
walking... browsing... girls... walking.. browsing.. boring... walking.. browsing... japan... walking... browsing... es cendol... sleeping... wake up...

7. maritime museum
we actually plan to stay until the night market at jonker is open, but we were all tired and just want to go home ahaha so we went here for the last place. willy stepped on dog shit here... epic...
